We stayed at Aspera Hotel Golden Horn, a 4-star hotel in Istanbul, for just one night, but that was enough to form a clear impression. We booked a Deluxe Double Room on the lower floor.
The room looked very nice, everything was fresh and not “worn out.”
To be honest, I should mention a serious downside of the bed. I'm 1.85 m tall, and the bed was too short for me. It's really as if the bed was wider than it was long. I honestly didn't expect such a poorly designed bed in a 4-star hotel. For a tall person, it's very uncomfortable to sleep there - your feet hang off the edge. You can see in the photos below that the bed simply isn't long enough. It would have been better to extend the bed rather than place a soft ottoman next to it.
All these silly American sizes like "king size" and "queen size" on booking websites don't say anything about the length, only the width. Of course, if you're of average height, it won’t be a problem.
The bedding was good - pleasant to the touch and not scratchy.

The bathroom was nice. By the way, the shower floor is slippery, so be careful. My wife slipped.
The hallway between the rooms. When someone walked down the hallway and talked, everything could be heard in the room.
The breakfasts were decent, but a bit "boring". I suppose good breakfasts are only found in larger hotels in Istanbul with more rooms.
The hotel's location is excellent. The metro is right at the exit of the lobby.
Now the most important downside of Aspera Hotel Golden Horn. We couldn't get any proper sleep there. The sound insulation in the room was terrible on the street side. Even with the windows fully closed, noise from a nearby nightclub was clearly coming through. In the building next door, loud music was playing all night, as if it were inside our room. It's the hotel's responsibility to install proper soundproof windows in the rooms.
In the photo below, you can see the roof of the neighbouring building. That's where the music from some nightclub or restaurant was blasting all night. Our room was lower down, but everything was clearly audible - sleeping was impossible.

Would I want to come back to Aspera Hotel Golden Horn? No. Because of the terrible sound insulation and the short bed. The room interior is a secondary concern.
